We invite you join us at the 2019 Davy Crockett Music and Arts Festival. Originally, known as Davy Crockett Days, the Chamber has joined forces with Piney Woods Fine Arts Association to bring Houston County this fun-filled family event. This year’s event will be held Saturday March 30, 2019 and will line the streets of downtown Crockett with Food, Arts & Crafts, Music, Classic Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles and Fun for the kids.
Free Live music will be offered on Camp street all day long with a paid concert by Wade Bowen after 6 pm. You can contact Piney Woods Fine Arts Association to purchase tickets. Vendor and food booths around the square will be open from 10 to 5 pm and offering an assortment of homestyle Texas BBQ to festival foods like Fried Oreos and funnel cakes. There will be something for everyone!
Classic Car Show
There will be a Classic Car Show from 10 am to 4 pm along Goliad Street between 2nd and 4th Street (In front of Knox Furniture). Bring out your beauties and show'em off! People's Choice Awards for 1st and 2nd Place will be given for Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles. Contact Chuck Seims @ 936-222-2566 for more info.
Davy Crockett Cupcake Battle
Also this year the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce will be having their FIRST ever Davy Crockett Cupcake Battle sponsored by Prosperity Bank! Come on out and show Houston County who has Master Chef Skills! Prizes will be offered for the top entry in each of three age groups:
- 6 - 12 years of age
- 13 - 17 years of age
- over 18 (Adult)
Each contestant will bring twelve (12) decorated cupcakes to the Chamber of Commerce Booth during the Festival at 11:00 am. Judging will begin at 11:30 am with prizes to be awarded immediately following.
Cupcakes will be judged on the following criteria:
