Historical Cookbook
The Houston County Heritage and Historical Cookbook is a historical book edited by Dorothy Harrison. This historical book offers hundreds of recipes that are at least 50 years old. Along with the many recipes listed in this book there are historic photographs of people and buildings around Crockett and Houston County photographed by Suzanne Steed. This special Historical Houston County Cookbook covers main entrees to side dishes, desserts and breads. All of the recipes are fully indexed along with photographs. State Chair Raffle
State Desk Chair to be raffled off for $1 a ticket. The chair will be displayed in local banks for a month at a time until the drawing on December 3, 2010. The proceeds are going in a scholarship fund for students at our local schools. For more information contact 544-2359. (Currently displayed at Southland Federal Credit Union)
