Historical Cookbook

The Houston County Heritage and Historical Cookbook is a historical book edited by Dorothy Harrison.  This historical book offers hundreds of recipes that are at least 50 years old.  Along with the many recipes listed in this book there are historic photographs of people and buildings around Crockett and Houston County photographed by Suzanne Steed.  This special Historical Houston County Cookbook covers main entrees to side dishes, desserts and breads.  All of the recipes are fully indexed along with photographs.  This historical piece is great for gifts and safe keeping.  To purchase a copy of the book please contact the Crockett Area Chamber office at 936-544-2359.
